A Europe trip from India is almost never one country. It is Paris and Amsterdam, or Rome, Florence and the Swiss lakes, or a Schengen loop that takes in five borders in ten days. That makes Europe the clearest case for a regional bundle: one eSIM, one price, every border crossed without a thought. This guide prices our two Europe bundles for the trip lengths people actually take, sets them against Airalo's Europe plans checked on the same day, and explains which size fits which kind of trip.
A word on the word "best". We do not claim ours is the cheapest eSIM for Europe in every case; that claim needs a dated comparison, so the table below carries one, with links. AirZippy prices are live; competitor prices are a dated snapshot.
The two bundles
Europe 38 covers 36 countries: the Schengen area, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Nordics and most of the Balkans. Europe 42 adds six more, including Turkey and a few non-EU states. If your route stays inside Western and Central Europe plus the UK, Europe 38 is the one; check the coverage list on each plan page before buying if you are going east or south of the usual circuit.

Read it fairly: Airalo's plan is unlimited and ours are fixed, so the comparison is "as much as you can use" against "a defined amount for a fraction of the price". For a two-week trip where 20 GB is more than most people use, the fixed plan costs roughly a quarter of the unlimited one on the day we checked. For someone who streams and hotspots all day, every day, the unlimited plan may be worth it — that is a real difference, not a trick of the table.
Which size for which trip
A week, two cities. 5 GB. Maps, messages, a few reels a day and photos backed up on hotel Wi-Fi fit comfortably. Take 10 GB if you will navigate by car with live traffic all day.
Two weeks, the classic loop. 10 GB for a light user, 20 GB for anyone who video-calls home daily or shares the connection with a partner's phone. Sharing is allowed on every plan, and one 20 GB plan on a hotspot is usually cheaper than two 10 GB plans.
A month — students settling in, a long work stay. 20 GB or 50 GB for 30 days. A student arriving in the UK or Germany can run on this for the first weeks while opening a bank account and choosing a local contract; the 30-day Europe 42 plan covers the UK and the Continent on one eSIM.
A family of four. One 30 GB or 50 GB plan on a parent's phone with hotspot on, rather than four plans. Teenagers stream; budget accordingly.
Europe plus the Gulf or Turkey
A Dubai or Doha layover on the way is the most common wrinkle. Europe 38 does not cover the UAE; the trip builder will show whether a Middle East plan for the stopover plus Europe 38, or a single Global 66 bundle, is cheaper for your exact days. Turkey is in Europe 42 and not in Europe 38, so an Istanbul stop decides the bundle for you.
Install before you fly, and the one setting on landing
The QR arrives on WhatsApp and email within minutes of payment. Install on home Wi-Fi: iPhone → Settings → Mobile Service → Add eSIM → Use QR Code; Android → Settings → Connections (or Network & internet) → SIM manager → Add eSIM. Keep the Indian SIM as the calling line, set the new eSIM as the mobile-data line, and turn Data Roaming on for it — that last switch is the one people forget. Crossing borders needs nothing. The eSIM re-registers on the next country's partner network automatically; a train from Paris to Brussels will show a French then a Belgian operator name with no action from you.

Does the Europe bundle include the UK?
Yes. The United Kingdom is in both Europe 38 and Europe 42.
Is Turkey included?
In Europe 42, yes. Not in Europe 38. Turkey also has its own country plans.
Is it 5G?
Where the partner network offers 5G to visitors and the phone supports it, yes; most of the time in Western Europe you will see 4G/LTE or 5G depending on the city. Speeds are set by the local network, not by the eSIM.
Can I top up mid-trip?
Yes, from the same WhatsApp chat; the top-up lands on the same eSIM.
Is Airalo cheaper?
